We’re a digital-first creative studio based in Montreal. After one decade working together at major web agencies and gaining industry recognition along the way, we decided to found Domaine Public as a way to forge long-term partnerships with clients who, like us, are driven to explore the full potential of digital experiences for both brands and their audiences.

  • Deven Caron

    I’m a technologist, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Domaine Public. My experience spans digital agencies, large-scale web projects, and building brands in fashion and media, giving me a unique perspective on the relationship between technology, creativity, and business.

    As an art director, developer, and co-founder of Domaine Public, I work across creative direction, front-end engineering, and interaction design, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to how digital experiences are imagined and built. My approach is rooted in problem-solving, a strong attention to detail, and an eye for motion, with a constant curiosity for how design and technology can shape new experiences.

  • What's the difference between working with Domaine Public and a traditional agency?

    You work directly with the two of us, Deven and Pier-Luc, from first call to launch. No account managers, no hand-offs between departments, no layers of corporate bureaucracy between your ideas and ours.

    We keep our client list intentionally short so every project gets our full attention, and we work in close proximity with clients rather than staying on the outside. We see ourselves as a strategic partner, not a vendor.

  • How long does a typical project take?

    We set milestones from day one so there are no surprises.

    Marketing sites (institutional, portfolio) typically run 6-10 weeks.

    Online stores (Shopify Theme, Headless Shopify, Shopify Plus) run 8-15 weeks depending on complexity.

  • How much does a website cost?

    Our projects start at $20k, with most clients ranging around $30k to $50k depending on scope and project type.

  • Do you work with agencies, or only directly with clients?

    We work directly with clients most of the time, since that direct relationship is core to how we operate. That said, we're open to partnering with agencies on select projects, typically when the scope calls for design or specialized development they can't handle in-house.

  • Do you offer project-based work or retainers?

    Both.

    Project-based work has a defined scope, fixed timeline, and clear deliverable, ending when the site ships, best for launches and redesigns.

    Retainers are for teams who want us in their corner long-term, think of it as your own web design & development department without the overhead. Note that retainer plans are only available for projects we've previously built.
